Strings of Fate XI: Magic Dream leaves Early Access

Strings of Fate XI: Magic Dream has officially left Early Access and launched on Steam as of April 24, 2026, which should put it on the radar for Might and Magic fans.

The name seems to be aiming pretty directly at Might and Magic XI, which is certainly ambitious. Whether it earns that comparison is up to you.

For those unfamiliar, Strings of Fate XI is a first-person party-based RPG where you eventually control five heroes exploring the world of Litea. It’s a bit like Might and Magic IX, where you start with one character and pick up more party members over time.

The Steam page lists a ton of features such as an open world, more than fifteen dungeons, around one hundred spells, more than twenty skills, bosses, artifacts, riddles, and more.

The game first entered Early Access on July 17, 2025, so it had a relatively quick run of about nine months before its full release. During that time, the developer MIRTEK kept a steady update cadence, and hopefully that continues post-launch.

Reviews are currently sitting at Mostly Positive on Steam, with 78% of 47 user reviews positive at the time of writing. That sounds about right for this kind of indie RPG: players seem to like the ambition, the old-school RPG structure, and the steady improvements, while some of the criticism is aimed at the usual Early Access/indie rough edges.

If you enjoy free-roam blobbers, real-time first-person party based RPGs, or modern indie attempts at the Might and Magic formula, this one is probably worth checking out. It looks a little rough in places, but it also looks like the kind of project made by a team who genuinely loves this style of RPG.

You can find Strings of Fate XI: Magic Dream now on Steam.
