We started covering Titans of the Past last year in November 2024 after the game was fist announced. (You can read our original interview with the developer here.) We are excited to announce that the game has just released their official public demo!

The game begins with a small town that you can build and upgrade, slightly reminiscent of Heroes of Might and Magic. Within your town the player can manage their party and go on adventures. Adding more buildings as you play gives you access to more powerful upgrades and features.

This is not an open world game, but more of an objective one. Each adventure has a theme such as fighting in an arena, attacking a castle wall, or fighting your way through streets filled with enemies.

The unique twist to this game is time freezes when you are not moving, similar to games like SUPERHOT. You can play in almost real time by constantly moving or take your time to make decisions like in a turn based game.

The developer has disclosed that generative AI was used for character portraits and ability icons on their Steam page. Something to be aware of if you care about AI use in games.
